About Me |
||
Hello! My name is Pamela Lokhun and I am an illustrator and concept artist. I was born in London, England where under the influence of 80s / 90s cartoons, I grew a love for drawing at a very early age. In school I would often win small art contests as my love for art grew and grew. When I was old enough to realise that people actually have to create and design what we see in forms of media such as animation, comics, video games, film etc. I found out what it was that I’d like to do for a living. I attended the University of Westminster in Harrow for three years where I studied Illustration and it was there I learned more about sequential art. I graduated in 2007 with a BA honours degree and have since continued to work on my narrative art and storytelling skills. Since leaving I have entered art competitions and had work published both commercially, independently and exhibited publically. I’m currently working on self-publishing a few comics and my work tends to reflect my love of fairy tales, myth and fantasy. I thoroughly enjoy creating new characters, costumes, creatures and places and I work across a range of art mediums from ink and watercolour to digital art tools such as Photoshop and Painter. My artistic influences come from a love of Japanese manga and fantasy art and I admire artists such as Amano Yoshitaka, Chiho Saito, Bakst, Arthur Rackham... (there are too many to list). I’m always constantly seeking to improve my skills as it’s my aim to create wonderful artworks and become a better artist each and every day. If you have any enquiries regarding commissions or just want to get in contact, please feel free to email me via the links above. |
